Founding GTM + Developer Relations Lead

We are looking for a founding go-to-market operator who is equal parts marketer, storyteller, and developer advocate. You will be the human voice of WebASI and Cipher — turning a category-defining product into a movement through outreach, content, video, ads, community, and events. This is a zero-to-one role: you will build the GTM engine, not inherit one.

Location
San Francisco (in-person) / Hybrid
Employment
Full-time
Compensation
$150K–$220K + meaningful early-stage equity

The Mandate

  • 01Own the top of funnel: awareness, demand, and developer signups for Cipher.
  • 02Be the face of WebASI in videos, talks, streams, and launches.
  • 03Build a repeatable content and outreach machine across every channel.
  • 04Turn early users into a loud, loyal developer community.

About WebASI

WebASI builds superintelligence on the edge. Our first system, Cipher, plans, writes, tests, and ships production software from a single prompt. We are a small, technical team in San Francisco moving at machine timescales.

We are past the demo stage — Cipher is real and shipping. What we need now is a person who can make the world feel what we already know: that the way software gets built is changing permanently, and WebASI is at the front of it.

What you'll do

  • Own outreach end to end — cold and warm: founders, engineering leaders, indie hackers, agencies, and design partners. Build sequences, run experiments, and personally open doors.
  • Write and direct video — short-form demos, launch films, tutorials, and founder POV clips for YouTube, X, TikTok, and LinkedIn. You have taste and you can hold a camera.
  • Run paid acquisition — plan, launch, and optimize ads across X, Meta, Reddit, YouTube, and search. Own CAC, creative testing, and landing-page conversion.
  • Build the content engine — a steady cadence of launches, threads, blog posts, changelogs, and docs that make developers want to try Cipher and tell their friends.
  • Produce events — meetups, hackathons, live build sessions, conference presence, and launch parties. From guest list to livestream to follow-up.
  • Grow the community — Discord, X, and in-person. Turn power users into advocates, collect feedback, and close the loop with product.
  • Own the funnel metrics — impressions to signups to activated developers. Instrument everything, report weekly, and double down on what works.

Who you are

  • You have shipped GTM or DevRel at a developer-facing product, ideally 0→1 or early stage.
  • You are technical enough to earn developer trust — you can run Cipher, read code, and demo without a script.
  • You are a genuinely good writer and an on-camera natural. You enjoy publishing in public.
  • You are a builder, not a delegator: you would rather ship a scrappy campaign this week than plan a perfect one next quarter.
  • You are obsessed with distribution and understand that the best product does not win by default — the best-distributed one does.
  • You want to be early, own a category, and be measured by outcomes.

Bonus points

  • An existing audience or following in the developer / AI space.
  • Experience launching on Product Hunt, Hacker News, or major AI communities.
  • Video editing chops (CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci) and design fluency (Figma).
  • A track record of a post, video, or launch that genuinely went viral.

Why this role

This is the founding GTM hire. You will report directly to the founder, set the marketing strategy, and own the budget. Your work will be the first impression the world has of WebASI.

If superintelligence that ships software is going to change how the industry works, someone has to tell that story at scale. That someone is you.
